Virtual Q&A scheduled for Dec. 2
Do you have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for kids ages 5 to 11? Get them answered on Thursday, Dec. 2 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Dean Blumberg, chief of pediatric infectious diseases at UC Davis Children’s Hospital, and general pediatrician Rachel Heidt, will take part in a virtual Q&A session.
“COVID-19 and Vaccines for Children 5-11 years old” is part of the webinar series, “Parenting in a Pandemic.” This event is coordinated by the IDEA center of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as part of the Healthy Yolo Together initiative. The webinar is co-sponsored by UC Davis Children’s Hospital.
The doctors will answer questions about pediatric COVID-19 and the vaccines that protect against it, specifically the Pfizer vaccine recently authorized by the FDA for emergency use in children ages 5-11.
